Ikramul Hasan Shakil (ইকরামুল হাসান শাকিল) born in 1994 in Bagchala village, Kaliakair Upazila, Gazipur District, Bangladesh, is currently 31 years old as of 2025.
He is a renowned Bangladeshi mountaineer and adventurer, celebrated for his significant achievements in high-altitude trekking and mountaineering. Notably, Shakil became the first Bangladeshi to successfully complete the 1,700-kilometer Great Himalaya Trail in Nepal, a feat accomplished by fewer than 50 people worldwide.
In addition to this, on May 19, 2025, he became the seventh Bangladeshi to summit Mount Everest. His "Sea to Summit" expedition began at Inani Beach in Cox’s Bazar and involved a 1,300-kilometer trek through Bangladesh, India, and Nepal, culminating in his ascent of Everest.
Beyond his mountaineering pursuits, Shakil serves as a Youth Advocate for Plastic Pollution with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), using his expeditions to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and plastic waste reduction.
