Sana Yousaf (সানা ইউসুফ) originally hailed from the Chunj area of Upper Chitral, Pakistan. She was raised in Islamabad, Pakistan. 

She gained popularity on social media, especially on TikTok, where she shared engaging videos showcasing her cultural background and personal interests. Sana Yousaf was pursuing her first year of medical sciences studies along with her content creator career. As a Muslim girl, she faced criticism for sharing her lifestyle and creating videos on social media. In an interview, Sana Yousuf mentioned that her family was very supportive of her career as a content creator. 

As a daughter of a social activist, Sana also posts awareness videos on women's rights and education, and motivational content for the youth. On June 2, 2025, Sana was tragically shot twice and killed at her home in Islamabad by an assailant who briefly conversed with her before opening fire. The assailant fled the scene immediately after killing Sana. Initial reports suggest that the suspect may have been a relative, and the motive behind the attack is under investigation, with possibilities including personal disputes and potential honour killing. The suspect fired multiple times, resulting in Sana sustaining two bullet wounds. The incident has sparked significant outrage on social media, with many demanding prompt justice and improved protection for content creators. Hashtags like JusticeForSana Yousuf started trending on platforms like Instagram and Twitter. San Yousaf was very fond of travelling and photography. She liked to do creative & artistic photography.
